LifeLine/Childline Western Cape offers a face-to-face counselling service for adults from most of their centres. This service is offered free (although donations are always welcome!) and is available, upon appointment. Individuals are able to have four one-hour counselling sessions with a trained LifeLine counsellor, after which time the counsellor will refer the individual to a therapist or specialist counsellor if there is a need for further consultation. LifeLine offers a 24-hour crisis telephone counselling service,
365 days of the year.
Our trained counsellors are available to talk to you and listen to you, no matter what you need to talk to us about. Confidentiality is the one of the cornerstones of our counselling process. LifeLine respects your right to privacy and no information you give us will be divulged without your permission to do so. If you wish to be referred to another agency or specialist, LifeLine can supply you with the details you need – once again this will only happen if you decide that this is the course you want to take.
